Show & Tell

There seems to be a lot of confusion about sending knives back in to Case for repair on here and on Ebay as well. Thought I would post my most recent experiences for information. Both of these knives are 64047 P. They are mine and have both been sent back to Case for the repair of broken handles. When Case does a repair they only use parts for the current year. My knives were 2 dot and 10 dot but have scales and shields on them from 2012. If new parts will not fit on the knife you are sending in for repair you will get a card from Case telling you they can not make the repair. I sent a pre 1980 6265 SAB in and asked them to put a blade in it. They said new parts would not fit on the knife and sent it back. The cost to repair my knives was $27.50 each - that is $5 for each scale, $15 per knife labor, and S&H. Case will not sell you parts so you can make your own repairs. There has been some discussion on here about Frankenknives, so my knives are genuine and are 100% Case, but have parts from different years. What category do they fall into? BTW, Case is super to work with and they did a great job on these knives.
