My Friend, Bob Williams

On June 6, 1944, my friend Bob Williams parachuted into Normandy with the 101st Airborne Division. On June 6, 1994, he returned to Normandy and repeated his jump at the age of 72. God Bless our Veterans. Let's not forget the sacrifices our brave American military men made that day.

Good post, TJ. And a big God Bless to all you veterans and especially those who participated in the D-Day invasion of Europe. There is truly no question as to the who are the 'Greatest Generation'.

My Father's side of the family sent 14 men. I don't know where my grandmothers picture of all of them before they left got to but they took one before they all went off to war. Through sheer luck only one didn't come back. He was the only fighter pilot. Her three brothers were among them and only one is left now.
