queen fixed blade.

this is one of a set...the small one...now i am wondering if i should do the large knife also...
this is not effective time management...
two plus months to stain the bone...two months to get the nerve...several knuckles missing skin...
the bone was natural dyed...a pound of rought cut indian tea...several onces of coffee...boiled for hours, then parked in the sun for a couple of month...adding water daily...which led to, several visiting coyotes, all the dogs and cats in the hood...at least one skunk, hanging out and taking turns removing the fat from the soup...
first thing everyone says is how smooth the handles are...? so i guess it is smooth bone huh?

Looks pretty nice to me. I haven't got the enjoyment yet out of dying my own bone.
I get mine from Culpepper, but I envy you having the time to work that process.

i have no clue on the value...the books i have suggest the pair, pre-1955 knives, were worth around 120.oo...now?

OMG!!!!!
i took the qeen knife set up to flagstaff...did the rounds of the gun & antique stores...fishing for comments and price....
i showed it to one friend...and she would not let go of the knives...
'how much?????'
so i drove off and left the knives...get a phone call in oak creek canyon..can't answer..tourists can be problematic in this area...
get back to cottonwood and she calls and says....
" is $250.00 acceptable for those knives...?"
i guess i did good huh?

no dale, queen did the scabbard...looks good for 50+ uears old...i did condition the leather.
