Ebay Buyer Problem

Has anyone here had a problem with "thetoolguy2467"? The guy won 4 of my auctions, but only wanted to pay for one of them and totally ignored all contact regarding the rest (I refunded his money on that one). From the looks of his feedback, he's done a lot of this sort of thing (wins auctions and doesn't pay unless he decides he likes the knife enough). I'm just wondering if other ebay sellers have had to deal with this guy and how they've dealt with him.

I haven't had problems with this particular buyer. I have had a couple no pays in the past tho. I just report it as not paid after trying to make contact and block the buyer from future bidding on my stuff. You may want to contact ebay by phone and see what response you get from them directly.

You can file a claim with Ebay for non-paying bidder and they will contact him. I've done this before and had very good results.

I haven't run into him, but I'm on my way to BLOCK him from ANY of my auctions.
Sorry about the problems Bob. I hate it, that eBay does essentially nothing for thos who refuse to pay......

Elvis,
Right away, go to the Resolution Center. Have the item numbers at hand. You'll have to make 3 or 4 trips to get all the numbers entered.
As a seller, you have no leverage as your feedback can only be counted as positive, so don't enter any. Show him as a non-payer. There will be a waiting period after which you can close the complaint and get part of your fee money back. It may bar him from entering negative feedback for you and the non-payments will be on his record. He won't care because he'll just change his eBay name and start over but it is about all you can do. Per Scott's suggestion, be sure and go to the 'Excluded Bidder' section and enter his eBay name. That way if he bids later under a different name, eBay will suspend him upon receiving notice from you.
Ray
PS: Like Scott, I blocked him from bidding on my sales.

bob, sorry to hear about that. when you do all the time and effort to sell things and people just ignore you in the end, thats just not right. try and make a second offer to the next highest bidders, or simply relist them.
btw, i love that old challenge sailors knife easy open that i won from you.......looking for more

Bob I will check but he may be the guy who I had a big problem with. I will report later.

I blocked him also and pretty much voiced my opinion on your thread too. Oh yeah, I reported him to ebay too.

Bob,
Yes I have had a problem with "thetoolguy2467" (4) weeks back. He bought an item from me for just a few dollars and I never heard from him. after repeated messages to him I was going to let it go but decided to report to ebay. In the end ebay did nothing but said through an auto message it was recorded on his acount, ebay is as much as a fraud as he. By the way he just decided on his own he was not going to pay and did respond to any emails. BH
