Mini Barlow cobble job

In between projects, I have other small redo's that I like to work on.
I had these two similar patterns. Everything was for the most part interchangeable. I liked the Barlow so I decided to redo it.
As usual, I did not take pictures of the progress. One of these days I will remember to.
The bolsters are steel. I had some issues with pins. Steel pins do not peen as easily as NS or brass. Also, the Barlow lettering is too close to the pin hole, so I ended up losing my "W".
The blades were kinda thin, so I did not take them down any more. The bone is Culpepper. I even did some pin-spinning.
The size is great. I think it will make a great pocket carry.

Nice job, Glenn! I think you made the right choice. I'd have picked the "Barlo" too.

Glenn that's a fine looking restoration job you've done.
That barlow would make a great EDC. That Imperial steel is hard to beat.

Thanks...I've been carrying for a week or 2. It rides well in the pocket, and cuts like the dickens.

I had shown this to my dad a little while back, and he liked it. Well, I was over doing something on his minivan last weekend, and was using the knife. He remarked how sharp the steel was, so I gave it to him. He was tickled, and showed it to my mother when we went inside.
I have given him knives before, but my mother doesn't always want him to use them, as they are quite sharp. She is afraid he will cut himself with them. He has a laundry list of medical issues (not quite as bad since he got his kidney transplant), so she worries about things like that.
Anyway, the knife that it replaced was some small utility knife of some kind. Mission accomplished!
