AAPK store - how to set up?

FIRST, I apologize to admins/moderators if this is the wrong place to post this. I just can't get a reply from [email protected].

I signed up for an AAPK store to sell some extra knives that I bought before I focused my collecting tastes on Canoes. This was on 6/28. I received this email (username and pw removed):
You have successfully signed up for the AAPK store program.

Your knife store account information is as follows:

=========================
Username: {removed}

Password: {removed}
=========================

Activate your account by clicking the following link and signing in:

If you have troubles, contact us at [email protected]

I clicked the link to activate and got this far:
You have successfully activated your account. We will begin the store set-up process as soon as possible.

Please Note:
You will not be able to log into your store administration area until we complete this process. Our staff will notify you when everything is ready.
However, it has been in this state since 6/28. I have emailed [email protected] twice since 6/28 but have not received a reply.

Does anyone know if they are still setting up new stores, or is this defunct, or is it something I did or did not do? Am I being impatient in thinking it would take a day or two, not over a week or longer?

Okay well I guess I was just being impatient as moments ago an email arrived with further instructions. ::ds::

[email protected] should go directly to Bryan. Bryan is the only one who does the set up for the stores. He is the brains behind all of AAPK! ::nod::

He may have taken a day or two off for the Forth of July and is trying to get caught up. He may also have some other issue he has to deal with first. He can be slow to respond to emails when he is super busy, he has a lot of stuff on his plate.

I will send him a link to this thread so he is aware of the issue.

I can say from experience the stores are a hassle for Bryan to set up, it takes some time to do them, but once they are setup, they are extremely stable. I think in the 4 years or so that my store has been open there has only been 1 or 2 minor problems.

If you have not heard back from Bryan by Monday, send me a PM and I will give him a call.

I think you will enjoy your store. ::tu::

Thanks!

I think I have a patience problem! HA HA
I wish the link would have said something about a time frame is all - so I would not wonder if my emails were going to some cyber dump somewhere! :oops:

Orvet - Willamette Valley. I am so jealous! If I could only convince my wife we would move there.

::idea:: This thread might be a good "sticky" with some minor editing regarding how to set up a store. (unless there is already one that this noob missed!)
