Trevor Ablett a craftsman in Sheffield, England who has been in the trade some fifty years is still producing knives using traditional blade types. This is a picture of an Ettrick shaped knife the pattern is though to have originated round the village of Ettrick in Scotland. Stag handled knife. We have a supply of snakewood and these will be coming through shortly - the ones with hand file work on the web site are sold out.

Thanks for reminding me I need to call Trevor and see if he has my pruners ready yet. Trevor is a great old fella. More than happy to sit down and have a cup of tea and eat lunch with you. I'd be interested to see your prices as well.
