Forwarded e-mail. Just another credit/debit worry we all need to be aware of.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just in case you haven't seen this yet.

I read this about a couple weeks ago, and then checked my cards for the little "WiFi Signal Icon" on each one. I found none w/that signal on them, but I was determined to watch for it when my cards came in on renewals. Well, yesterday I got my CHASE SLATE card AND THERE IT WAS ! My first time to see it. I'll not activate that card after seeing this. I guess I'll go to the bank and see if I can replace it w/a non wi fi (Radio Frequency Card)....?

Thought all my contacts ought to see this if you've not already seen this demo....wow!

No problem guy's. This is the second place I came after forwarding the e-mail to all of my contacts. ::tu::

I contacted chase and they are sending my wife and I new cards without the RFID. Luckily my debit card is with a credit union that doesn't use the RFID YET?. I would rather swipe my cards the old school "harder, slower" way and feel a bit safer. I did notice while recently replacing my wallett that they do sell walletts with a safety liner inside. The ones I looked at sounded like a crinkling candy wrapper. I went with the old school wallett as well.

Forbes says it's no big deal. Tempest in a teapot (my words). Really? I don't agree.
