Per the note I got from GoDaddy (I host a few sites there) regarding the problems on 10 September, "The service outage was due to a series of internal network events that corrupted router data tables." Doesn't sound like a hacking--they are usually fairly forthright about problems. I've not been concerned about other sites hosted on Godaddy, or about my own.
The only thing I noticed was that I couldn't access my pages, or my email. The pages--feh, I've got backups. But doing without my email for a few hours drives me crazy.
