a gold star to the person who can correctly identify this strange object. it was in the barn when we purchased our property 16 years ago, and i still haven't a clue. hopefully someone here has.
it has what appears to be a lead base with a cast aluminum cage surrounding over 100 very pointy steel spikes.
i know i have seen similar items for separating hairs when doing wigs, but they aren't covered with a cage. this looks like some sort of torture chamber for something that can get in, but not out.

btw, the two halves seem to be spot welded. which even adds more to the mystery. no makers mark either.

Jerry, would you honestly utilize an urinal within which that device resided?

I thought not.

Oh, Charlie my brother. We have been some of the same places and you know that's not the worst.

Yeah, but that looks almost like a Medieval chastity device, although I'd want absolutely nothing to do with the woman that could wear it.

Cat holes, Pit latrines and burn-out latrines are all distant and unwelcomed memories.
