All About Pocket Knives

I scored this Kershaw Vapor in a lot deal on eBay. We;;, she cam with some rust. I soaked 'er overnight in some WD-40 and this morning I thought......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......what the heck, let's rebuild (clean) this knife.

Seriously, good rebuild. That's half the battle, getting over the fear of taking something apart. After that, it's all fun!

You're right.....the fear was the biggest challenge. I thought, well if it comes flying apart....it's no biggee.....I only had a dollar in it.

Watch out Scott, you are starting on the long and winding road of knife repair!
It is far more addictive than collecting knives!

If you need a thumb stud, check with Jantz & if you can't find it in the catalog, call them.

There is another one that might work called a "Thumb-a-Bob."
It is basically a thumb stud for the do it yourselfer. If the hole in the blade is large enough that will work too.

As long as it was made in the US, Kershaw will send free repair parts they just send me screws and a new pocket clip for my "Needs Work". You can order these parts on their website also
