I picked up this chest today. This thing is huge, 38" long by about 22". It has a bunch of sliding removable trays that nest inside.





Unfortunately, the lid has some issues on the hinge side, the wood was tore out. It should be fairly easy to replace.

The guy I got it from said his dad made it in high school. I don't know if I believe that story, and don't know why he wouldn't want to hang onto it, but the price was right.

It needs a little TLC, but I like it.

Yeah, I like it too. I love the ascending concept for those sliding drawer inserts.

Nice one. Most every carpentry student used to make one so they would have one for the rest of their lives.

that is soo kool, but it must wiegh a lot even when empty, and bulky too

I may have to expand my workshop, LOL!
