you are absolutely correct the sequoias are incredible and pictures cannot convey the marvel of these trees. Plus they are so huge that you cannot get the entire tree in the picture..I only traveled in the rural parts of California because of my job but I was very impressed with what I encountered..

Nice photos sunburst! ....When I came home after my three tours in South East Asia (Vietnam) I lived in & around most of the areas you have pictured! ....I finally settled in a small town in Northern California, just south of Napa called Vallejo because of the good fishing almost year round (Big Stripper, Sturgeon, Leopard Shark, Salmon & Steel Head )
