Hey Blue, those look like some pretty tightly grouped contour lines there! Be sure and do a little bit of stretching before you tackle that one!
What's the blade(s) of choice to accompany you on your adventure?
Have to be sure to post some pics when you return safely!

Hey Mike,
Yep it is about a 2,200ft elevation change in 3 miles. Great view once we get there!
I'm taking this little stag-handled Boker that I got from johnnierotten about a year or two ago.
Got the camera on the charger now!

Blue -- Is it safe to assume it's the Pinnacle Mountain in South Carolina and not the one in Arkansas?

JerryD, you are correct sir.
At 3,425 ft, it is the second highest mountain in SC. (Sassafras Mtn. being the highest in the state)
Here are a few photos of sights along the trail.

Makes me tired just looking at the pictures. Pretty scenery though. Looks like you enjoyed yourself. That's always good.

Thanks guys,
Yeah we had a great time. The wife hit the couch for a nap as soon as we got home, and I'm sitting here with an ice pack on my knee.
Just like we used to say in the sailing club. "It's not a good day unless you broke something!"

Hiking up from the South looks like a real workout. Great pictures! Except the sliced thumb.

That is some gorgeous country for sure.
