New York Knife Co

I have a NYK barehead jack, 3 9/16" closed. Both blades (spear and pen) marked New York, Knife Co, on three lines. I have seen knives marked this way on Ebay. They were described as being made before 1878. This was the first year that the Arm & Hammer logo was used (Goins, pp. 196). Could I have a 130 year old knife? I posted this question on a different forum here at AAPK and was advised to repost this question in the knife lore section. I was also advised to send pictures,but that is not a possibility.Iwill try and describe the knife.it is 1/2"accrss the bolsters and11/16"accross the end opposite the bolsters.IThas very light colored jigged bone scales,held on with four brass rivets.it has brass liners,and iron bolsters.The center liner comes up even with the handle liners. The nickel silver shield is held on with two nickel silver rivets. The bolsters have a shallow groove 3/16" wide through the pivot pin area.The pivot pin ends are visable as a thin brown circle.Thanks to ORVET for for the suggestions
