In between all the work I have going on for forum members (thanks!), I have a few other projects going.

I wasn't sure about the amber stag when I picked it out, but now that I see it on there, I love it!

glennbad, those are some sweet looking knives. It appers you turn the screwdrivers into a warncliff type blades and remove the lock, they're really neat. I'd never heard of jigging by that name. Treefarmer

I hear you Kaleb, that Glenn is one bad knife mechanic!
It is probably a good thing I am semi-retired from knife mechanickin' cause he is gettin' real good!

Oh, I don't think you guys have anything to worry about, I'm still learning things NOT to do on each build.

That was my idea. Ever since putting those bottom bolsters on one recently, I thought I might be able to make it happen. The only issue is that with the bottom bolsters, there's not alot of room for an EO without exposing the short blade. I think it could be done though.

don't we all buddy! I learn new stuff every day. If I stopped learning I wouldn't enjoy it anymore.

Absolutely!!! Learning the right way (and the wrong way) of repairing or building these knives is what really holds my interest.
If I stop learning it will be too much like a job and therefore no longer be fun.

There is such a big learning curve that it will take a lifetime to learn it all and that makes it interesting for me!

I think there's much more to it than, that when it comes to those who work with their hands to build and repair. Nothing's ever simple or straight forward. I can tell you that after fixing "stuff" for my entire working life (and personal life), there's a rush to completing a repair and seeing something work again as designed. Same feeling for building something. I have to admit there's also a bit of subconscious "look what I did" pride that goes with it.

My gosh those are goregous, Glenn. Oh my oh my.
