i like the uniwheel. can't call it a bike. i don't think i would ever buy it. but i would try riding it. guess its kinda like having the perpetual wheely machine ::tu::
i,m not into speed so that rocket trike doesn't really interest me ::td::

The single wheeled one reminds me of the Segway, the two wheeled electric rider that you see in D.C. tours, the CVS commercial, etc.

Some kind of gyroscopic balancing apparatus.

Looks to me like it needs a little more torque/power.

I think he was a little cramped for space when you consider he had to put everything to make it go inside that wheel. Battery, motor, et al... Faster = Bigger.

i think if you were to add more power, that the risk of accelerating and stopping would be of considerable risk and pretty darn dangerous with the forward and backward momentum that your body wieght would present.

I don't necessarily want it to go faster, but a different torque/drive ratio would get it going without having to push off multiple times with his feet.
