Buck 112

I got a batch of 112's in from buck the other day and decided to play with one. got rid of the ears, rounded the bolsters, pinned on some stabalized spalted maple burl, a little switchback filework and modified the clip. Best feeling 112 I've ever held; removing the ears gives you another inch of hand room on the handle. Debating keeping this one, jury's still out might let it go.

Looks good MM but what are you referring to when you mention "ears" ?

Thanks men.
Phil, the ears I'm referring to are the curved down portion of the front bolsters as seen in this comparison photo.

I love what you have done to this one. Turned it into a totally different knife.

Great job!

Thanks Kaleb. I now see what "ears" you are talking about. Nice modification. ::tu::
