This actually happened.

A friend rented an apartment. :) After a couple of weeks he noticed a leak in the ceiling. :( The ceiling had removable tiles (drop ceiling). He called the owner who came over the next day to inspect. He climbed the ladder and slid back a tile. ::huff:: With a loud voice of authority and with a bit of (gee you stupid guy why didn't you look tone to his comment) he exclaimed, "there's your problem the buckets full". ::doh:: ::dang::

Needless to say he moved out shortly there after for a more accomodating dwelling, ::shrug::

My comment to him was, "if its an electrical problem you better get a hammer" ::facepalm::

Amazing. A guy I worked with bought a house, and after a few months, his ceiling developed a leak. There was no access to the attic/crawl space. He ended up cutting through the plaster ceiling, and that is exactly what he found. A 5 gallon pale overflowing. Luckily he got the Buyer Protection Insurance to fix it right. Pretty amazing what some people will do to swindle another guy.
