I am in the middle of his book right now, and Kathy had the news on this morning and I couldn't believe it. I also can't believe all the negative comments from liberals and muslims on the internet. (well, yes I can.... they are the scum of the earth, and they vote)

I find it kind of questionable, that after all the gun-grabbing going on and comments like, "why don't you see shootings at gun ranges or gun shows" that this man would be murdered on a gun range. From what I read, the shooter was a discharged Marine who suffered from post traumatic shock syndrome? Are we to believe this? Look for the next high profile shooting at a gun show. I would not be at all surpized that if the truth be known, that the shooters in Aurora, CO, Sandy Hook and this one were "brain-washed" and were somehow converted using mind altering drugs and sent to do these things. Government set-ups, if you please. There's no level too low for this administration to stoop to. Yeah, I'm a kook!!

Another farce that this administration is forcing on us is the pic of obama skeet shooting. What a crock!! This comes after people having to ask for pics of him shooting!!

Absolutely no offense meant to Chris Kyle or his family, but he should have remained silent about his exploits. He painted a target on his back when he wrote the book and made all those TV appearances.

Quiet Professionalism is something to be adhered to.

I heard about this on Sunday, my brother sent me a text about it. Then I read about it on the web and in the newspaper today. Tragic. And he was actually trying to reach out and help a fellow soldier and this is how his help was rewarded. I hope the shooter fries. Coward and low life scum come to mind describing the murderer. Sorry if that's not turning the other cheek but that's how I feel. Sad indeed.

Hi Charlie,

I agree with you on the quiet professionalism. However, I have read several accounts that all the profit from his book went to charities to help his fellow wounded soldiers.....so he was doing it for a good cause.

I understand Unk.

He was a good man, doing good things for people that needed help, including the jerk that shot him and the other man.

However, disclosing the facts of his success as a military sniper, writing the book, doing multiple interviews on TV and radio just set him up as someone whose death would make famous the one who shot him.

Kind of like Bob Ford who shot Jesse James in the back or the guy that shot Wild Bill Hickok or any of the now several presidential assassins or attempted assassins.

Sad event in an even sadder world.

I have been puzzled wondering what his motive was. I figured it must be love or money, the biggest reasons someone kills another person they know. It never dawned on me, that it would be simply attention. Fame and publicity are a fantasy to many, and they will do anything to get it. The Bob Ford / Wild Bill analogy makes the most sense, especially since he didn't try to hide what he did.
