new engraving project finished

Customer sent me this knife made by Ptere Martin to put some engraving work on. It has a stainless damascus blade, titanium frame, black pearl scales, and gold shield, pins and screws.
It took a bit longer to engrave than i expected. Spent more time sharpening tools than actual cutting it seemed. But, its finally done and the customer loves it
The background is 24k gold inlay.

::woot:: Great Job. You engravers just boggle my mind with your art. Outstanding ::tu:: ::tu::

Don't know if you're familiar with him or not, but here is a sterling silver ZIPPO lighter done by Joseph the Engraver. Joseph is his full legal name. He was at one time the chief engraver for Winchester Repeating Arms Co. When he retired his tools (hand) went into the Cody Museum. He said that he did this lighter for a gambler in Wyoming. I know it's not a knife, but it is a cool, hand engraved (no air-graver) piece.

That's what I was thinking when you said the frame was titanium, ruff, tuff, stuff. Have you ever visited here http://engravingforum.com/ A lot of great engraving on this site. A friend of mine, Roger Bleile is on this site, lives about a mile from me.
