All About Pocket Knives

This is a knife I have had for years and it is still new in the box but win I bought the knife it had a crack around the lanyard hole "big surprise right". So I found a fellow member with the time to replace the handle with some nice bone I picked out.
So hear is the before pics and like me we will wait to see what the bone looks like on the knife but for now hear is the knife and the bone. What do you think.
BTW- I have the tin for the knife,it is in great shape if you happen to need one, it yours PM me.

I think that amber stag will look pretty sweet, good call and make sure you post some pictures of the finished product.

Ok hear is the evolution of the Bullet reproduction knife and I think it turned out real sweet.I can't wait to git it in hand.

I had actually asked him not to Glenn. Mostly because I consider myself retired now, but I guess the truth is that I'm semi-retired. I take in very little work now and hope to keep it that way since I'm not able to spend much time in the shop anymore. My vision has gotten a little better since those eye surgeries, but four spinal surgeries have taken their toll and I don't expect things to improve with age. You have no idea how glad I am that your talents have reached the level you're now at as it has taken some of the pressure off. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I can only hope to do my best to take up some of the slack from the great work that you do.

Facts is facts Glenn. You've been cranking out some really nice work and since I'm trying to get away from it, your timing couldn't be better for my part. I watch your projects as they show up here and it just keeps getting better. I wish you well.

That knife is much nicer looking now with the new handles IMO. (Of course I'm a big fan of amber stagged bone )

The Amber bone stag is one of my favorites too Phil. I gave him a nudge in that direction and was glad that he chose it. I guess repair is a lot like collecting. Once you've got it in your blood, it just kind of stays there, but I am glad I've got it down to the hobby level now. Even on a good day I'm only good for about 3 to 4 hours in the shop at the very most and then only with the help of some major pain meds. I never considered myself in competition with any of the knife mechanics here at AAPK and only joined in hopes of sharing some of what I've picked up over the years with others. I'm just glad to have been able to do that and hope to stick around as long as I can still be of service.

Phillip (knifetime), I had hoped to get it done sooner, but I promise you that your knife will be mailed out today. I'll PM you the delivery confirmation number later this morning.

You can always take as long as you need to when your working on a knife for me Bob,I'm just glad for the great job you did no matter how long it takes. Besides it didn't take you very long. That knife has been around for 2 or 3 years now just waiting for this. Like Phil said it is a better looking knife now than win it left the factory. So thank you SR

I keep hearing "amber bone stag", but those scales remind me of some worm groove scales I have. Either way, they're nice !

I am kinda thinking that also, now that you mention it...

It has that "worm groove" look to it don't it. Ether way it sure makes a nice handle materiel and I'm supper happy with the knife.It will be with me till my son gits old enough to have it thin it will be his,thats the plain anyway.
