old Schaat & Morgan sleeveboard whittler?

This is my first Schaat & Morgan, it was that beautiful bone that lured me in! Crack in the frontside bone and one of the blades is broken off, but I really like the pattern and think it's still a fine looking old knife that obviously has alot of history to it!

Stamped S X M Titusville, PA
Tang stamped on all three blades, main blade on the front, secondary blades on the backside.
Am I correct in my thinking that it is actually a splitback whittler, since looking at the springs it appears the middle liner only extends halfway down the length of the knife, then tapers off?
Does anyone know an approximate age on the knife?
Any comments or info anyone would like to share I'd be most appreciative of...thanks!
