I go get my treeing feist puppy tomorrow! Hopefully she'll be ready to start this fall. Here's her pic. She's cute as a button, and from what I hear meaner 'n a snake.

Lol! Nope not a beagle. We've got 6 grown beagles all running, and 4 pups right now.

I'm just diversifying, lol. I always wanted a squirrel dog.

Have owned raised and trained a lot of feist over the year's and x'ed em to a beagle once in awhile too they can be hard headed but will kill anything that crawl's or walks your property line--good luck with her

PigSticker, it sure s good to hear from someone else who knows what a feist is! Most of the time folks get a funny look n their faces when I say feist. I may have to pump you for some advise along the way. Beagles and bird dogs I know, but these feists are a different story.

We did have two rabbit dogs that had some Jack Russell in them. One jump dog was 1/2 JR and the other was 1/4. They were both fine rabbit dogs, and hard headed too.

Did you squirrel hunt with yours?

You get a good terrier you'll be able to hunt anything you want any time you want but they don't finnish out as quick as a beagle--they'll be doing what you want in less than a years time but in three to four years is when they settle down and really producing--Terriers of any type are that way really strong headed
