I am doing the best I can, takin it second by second still. Tomorrow I am having a family memorial/balloon release/ Father's Day Picnic with all of the kids and grands, Johnnies parents, and my dad. The grands are sooo excited that they get to send a letter to their papa in Heaven :D It is going to be a bitter sweet day. I will be sure to post pics of our balloon release.

I wish we all could be there Lisa. I decided to do it up right and treated myself to a cigar and some Forty Creek today while I sat outside and thought about Johnnie and all the lives he touched.

If Johnnie liked Budweiser I'm having one in his memory. Gone but never forgotten!

I have not drank since my boy's where born but I sure would tip one for John,although I could never drank beer. I just never acquired the taste for it but if it was going to be beer it would be Budweiser.

I found the following recently and made me think of Johnnie:

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow, What A Ride!'"

Here's to you Johnnie! ::tu::

OH I wish I had seen this before I had his memorial cards made. I just put a pic of us, his info, and then his signature line from here on the forums!

No Bud in the house, but I tipped back a yuengling today at my son's graduation party.

I don't always share everything from the forums with my family, but I sure made a point to tell them about Johnnie. Here's to you, man!

Just got back from Johnnie's Family Memorial Balloon release and picnic. It was a day full of tears, laughter and lots of stories, along with a few mishaps. I am totally emotionally and physically drained right now. I will post pics and tell you all about it tomorrow. I am grabbing a few beers and heading to bed.

Good choice. One of my favorites. Shame it hasn't made it this far west.

I too chose bourbon for my salute to JohnnieR.
