I swear Dave, where on earth do you get such awesome knives You always seem to come across the coolest vintage knives! That Craftsman is just beautiful! IMHO I would say a rich and striking smooth bone! Well done my friend! Rocky

B- we really need to get that poor ole lonely Schrade made Craftsman with more of its own kind. I have many of her cousins, aunts, uncles and such in my Schrade room and they would love to bring her home.

Lets work together to bring that poor ole orphan home (to my house of course) so she can be with her family.

All 2ot are bone as fair as I know,very rare made for about one year.Some came with a sheepfoot"very few" instead of pen and fancy bolster.
All came with the fancy bolster.

B, you can make those bolsters fancy with a prick punch and hammer.

They where salesman samples,they where about 12 made in that set up. I have no idea if any where sold.

Those are what was known as Washington bolsters. All the 2OT's had them, whether they were salesman samples or not. Most likely they're what's being referred to as "fancy" since they weren't made for any other Schrade knife.

You are very right,The 12 I had mentioned was with the w/ clip & sheepfoot- approx 12 made salesman .The all had the same"fancy" bolster.Sorry for the typo that misinformed. It is a very nice knife.

From what I can read about it you are very right about the bolsters they all are fancy bolsters,the difference is in the secondary blade 12 where made with a sheepfoot instead of pen. What I meant to say was very few had sheepfoot instead of pen and I am very sorry for the misinformation I hope this clears it up.
