That's the first electric stand up bass I've ever seen. Ever notice the stand up bass player gets about as much respect as the weatherman on the nightly news? Stick him in the back and somebody look back and take a peek now and then to make sure he hasn't wandered off somewhere to go drink beer.
The New South is living proof you don't have to have rock star looks to play bluegrass.

That was an hour of pure pleasure, TJ. A pleasure to look at the great instruments and see such outstanding talent and listen to that fine old time music. I loved it. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed it. J.D. Crowe is an iconic banjo player in Bluegrass Music. JD has had some of the most famous players as side-men, Ricky Skaggs, Tony Rice, Kieth Whitley, Jerry Douglas, and more that don't come to mind right now. JD was banjo player for Jimmy Martin before New South. He's always carried a great band.
