Hello All,

Recently I sold an 897 UH made in the usa new in the box on e-bay. It looks like there are stickers on both ends of the box stating 897UH, seems the box is for another knife the 877UH Pro. I got these knives at an old hardware store from a Schrade display. Did schrade do this when they stopped making the 877? I didn't appreciate the guy saying it was a false label. I explained to him what I think happened. He does love the knife though. Thanks for any info.

I would rather they had done that than outsource their packaging materials to China (which they did,Schrade that is) but please oh brother please don't tell me that they were repackaging the good selling classics in flopping model Chinese packaging material. I think that the Chinese ink, cardboard and plastic was the beginning of the end for Schrade Cutlery USA. Those were simple enough jobs that could have stayed in the USA. You would think they were selling knives as fast as Mickey D Happy Meals... ::woot::
