All About Pocket Knives

Found nice stockman knife 3 1/2" closed. Fake stag handles, blade
etch Super Razor Blade Stainless. Secondary blades both marked
Stanless, Tang stamped Craftsman/Stainless/U.S.A.9552.
Shield seems to be glued on. Also seems unused. Looks like a
UH Stockman. I was wanting to know age and Manufacture.
I figured Schrade.

orvet it is 3 9/19" I measured it on my wife's cutting board for her material
it is not broken down to 16ths. So now my question is age? Probably not
very old at all.

It looks l,e an old Schrade WLden (carbon) that I have. I love mine. Yours looks like a dandy too.

I've had a few of these. I think they were made in the mid 1960's and maybe into the 1970's. You can see the blades on this knife have the Schrade "razor blade" finish. Schrade Walden did the "razors" beginning in 1965, and you could find these on Uncle Henry knives as well. Also on the 825SS pattern, which is the same frame. There are also 3 1/4" stockman, 3 7/8" trapper, and the 3 7/8" split backspring whittler with this same handle design and black box package. They are not common, but do show up from time to time. This particular frame is 3 9/16".
