Back to the top one last time--I was wanting to know if this is a Heritage assembled knife

ABSOLUTELY!! THIS TRAPPER IS AN OFFICIAL HERITAGE CUTLER KNIFE!!!

I know because I made them!!!
When I left Colonial and we incorporated Heritage Cutler's, this was our first order..
In conjunction with Nayyer Hosonge from Natural Products in New York, who provided
the India Stag we bought, and the parts deal I made with Micheal Dillion, Plant Manager
of Camillus Cutlery, we made 5,000 of these for Smith and Wesson!!

Colonial's old and best southern salesman Mr. Sheffield Clark hooked us up with the order and in 1997, we made this beauty! Hollow ground stainless steel blades, solid NS bolster's with stainless assembly pins. The blade etchings were added after.

A $ 48,000 order is a nice way to start a business!!
I had some pin on operation and some polishing help from my partners but for the most
part, I made every one of these knives; from beginning to end!!

Thanks for the reply Bob--I've bought your book off your site and read it and gave it to my oldest son along with a RAP Stockman I bought off Ebay he got a grin outta having the book along with having one of your knives---Bob did you make any other knives for S&W I've seen some Stag Stockmans dated 78 or 79 I suspected were Heritage Cutlery knives

To answer your question my friend is that yes, this was the one and only knife that was made by Heritage Cutler's for S&W....

It make take some time but I want the whole knife collecting industry to know about me...

Thanks for the offer Bobbie but you really don't have to do that--what you need to do is start working on knives again with some of parts stash you have that would be cool--
My youngest son turned 29 last month and I give him a RAP Stockman that looked like it had water buffalo scales on it was mint in the box with paper work he was really liking it--I have a smooth white bone stockman bras bolsters & a white smooth bone stockman silver bolsters in the box with paper both are RAP's

Now how can you argue with that...
