I never saw one like this before. Usually they have both bolsters or no bolsters. Even tip bolsters. But I never saw one with a bolster on one end and barehead on the other. It's different.

You would also think that the bolster would be on the end with the big blade.

Yep, I seen it and thought exactly the same thing. Didn't make sense. If I remember correctly, they describe it as rare… I guess so. I assume it was a shadow but was cracked on the end with the bolster and they figured if I can get away with putting bolsters on this end without cracking the pearl on the other end then woohooo less work if not, gonna have to make a couple more. Of course I could be way off track here. I have a L.F.&C. that has bolsters on one side and none on the other side. Someone said it must be a salesmans sample, and it could be but I think it might be a similar situation as the knife you're showing.

No pics with the blades closed. Is it just me or does this knife look all outa whack? Frankenstein perhaps?

Those bolsters look totally out of place, and the pins don't even fit right. It def. looks like someone added those after the fact.

You're right, those pins are too big for this style of knife. They always used small ones on pearl knives like that. You have to think all this was done because of broken or cracked scales and it's a "Frankenknife". I hope he was careful with the pearl dust. It's very dangerous to breathe it.
