I know there is a #45M, also; how many others did Queen produce on the cast aluminum "body" pattern?
The Barlow grew on me after a while
Thanks.

I'm on the lookout for the shorter of the 45's, as yours above.

I had a #23 that came to me damaged in a POS exchange. An AAPK member put new bone handles on it but I still didn't like it so it went to a more appreciative home.

Seems like I've seen that one before? Thanks again Jerry, it is appreciated in it's new home

. It is so light weight, it's almost hard to take it serious

and the unique construction makes it a conversation piece. Studing up on that pattern , they were made with a wide variety of main blades as the picture posted by nifbuf shows.

they are light
so they made Barlows, and 2 varieties of the Big Chief, one like mine and one without the bail and cut-out, and a shorter version, the M.
Any other styles made using this construction?

I am not sure if you mean cast bolsters, or simply aluminum handles. In the 1980s Queen made some very nice all aluminum and all stainless lockback knives - small and medium size. I've carried both and find the stainless steel much better. It is stronger and does not loosen up on the blade as easily. And the aluminum leaves black residue in my pockets and hands with any significant use - just a bit too soft.
