Stag Handle Hunter

This is a hunter I made with a stag handle from a deer my father shot when he was a young man of about 20 years old. He also just took over running the George Schrade Knife Co. in Bridgeport Ct. I estimate the stag to be around 70 years old. The mount was deteriorating so bad, about 35 years ago, I had to throw it away. I kept the antlers not knowing what I was going to do with them. I started making knives 2 years ago and used the stag to make this and a Bowie. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful work Bill!
That is a special use of your fathers old mount, I am sure he would be proud

Very nice, with excellent grind lines! You'll have to put that one through the Dimitri "just how tough IS your knife" test. Looks like it'd pass with flying colors.
BTW, welcome to AAPK!

It must be in the blood.
I liked your travel plans better than your knife expertise, which is very professional. God bless.
