R1306 Review

Please look at pictures of this R1306 and let me know what you think. I am more comfortable with this knife than I am with the R1123 I posted earlier. I appreciate the opportunity to expand my knowledge. I am off work for a few days after some minor surgery and trying to document and catalog my collection.

The bullet shield is something that concerns me about this knife. The 3 lines by the center fire cap seem like they might be messed with. Plus there 2 small lines in the stag beneath the shield that align to the lines in the shield that seem like they could be from a "slip" of a tool being used on the shield to make lines. It is easy to be neurotic about these things :)

It snaps into lock position and locks tight. It is lazy on closing.

Many thanks in advance for your comments.

I like it ::tu:: . It looks like someone has added some depth to the lines on the bullet shield and got down in the stag a little. I believe the blade pin has been replaced at some point in time. The etch is nice. Its a good knife .

It all looks good to me but as remington collector says it looks like someone tried to re-establish the pocket worn lines on the bullet shield. Got a little crazy with a file. Blade definitely looks re-pinned. One thing for a pin to show but another for the color to be off. If the back spring rises and falls as the knife is opened and closed the slow closing might be the result of a poorly re-pinned blade.
