Remington R1253

It has taken me a couple of years to find a R1253 that I liked AND could afford. It is a long way from perfect but still pretty good. Handles are in great shape. Etching is faint. Used and sharpened. Locks tight with some wobble.

That is great example you have there. It is also one of my favorite patterns and it has ben said that it was Al Capons as well.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.
Dave, that is a mighty fine R4353 that you posted! I am from Canyon Lake, TX - looks like we are a couple hundred miles apart. I want to try to get to a Texas knife show this year. In the meantime, I will try to get into the chat room. You will have to help me with some of the shorthand abbreviations. For example, I used to think that LOL meant Lots Of Love and then my mother in-law sent me a message that used LOL so now I know it doesn't mean what I thought

. Not sure what HET means, but I would like to know.

thanks msteele. I was reluctant to bid given seller's lack of feedback and the quality of the pictures, but I went with a gut instinct and am quite happy with the outcome (this time

). I have since had some dialog with the seller and he is a very nice feller.
