Schrade made some nice knives for their 100th Anniversary, back in 2003 and 2004.
Post anything made by Schrade just before they closed down in 2004... KG.

Grant, I think your knife belongs with this "Prtend Schrade."

The Schrade 8OT did not have the sheild, like the Taylor copy.

I feel honored to join the ranks of the Australians by showing the 100th anniversary Schrade U.S.A. 194OT that I got from a fellow AAPK member, Gino. It will be a birthday gift for a grandson who was born in 2004 .

Hi Keith, that is the same as my two 8OTs, same tin and money clip. (never seen one like that)

Schrade had the ASX4CPT Badger made in China ( It is a much better knife then the Taylor Badger)
The other two Badgers Schrade hade made in China (satin finished blade) and the (black Blade) was made in Irland.... Ken

That one's a Taylor import for sure. The tang stamp is a dead giveaway.

The knife is another of those funny one's in came with one of the trucks supplied by Schrade USA.I purchased two a red and black .The black on came with a Schrade USA Cliphanger.The red with the China knife and 100 Anniversary on the blade.The person I purchased them from said he purchased them new.I did pay less for the one with the knife made in China( China is not stamped on the blade )

Does the red truck packaging have a company address? Does it say Ellenville, or does it mention Taylor?

The truck and packing is Schrade, I belive Schrade were going to start selling them for the 2004 Anniversary.
I would say Schrade had them made in China.

Taylor could have sold them later in 2004, or they may have been sold at the Schrade auction - and the knives added.

Grant did they come with Schrade paper-work or bling... Ken

Just found this on another forum:
"I picked this up at a garage sale awhile ago, not a true schrade (Taylor made) 1956 Ford F100. the blade is stamped USA & dated July 30 2004"

Both trucks just have cardboard inserts the say Schrade 100th 1904-2004.
All it has besides on the bottom is Ford Official Licensed product.
( If you have a look at the Badger knife of Koldgold's it was made in China )
Who knows what went on before and when the factory closed.

Ken .I think the knife was made by Taylor.I have seen some with the same number without the etching on the blade.( I would say when Taylor purchased Schrade name and some of the equiptment, they used the same factorys Schrade was using ).

I have a Tractor which has on the packet made in China and has a Limited Editon Old Timer

Schrade had been using China, for their Tins and Boxes - and later in 2003 they had some of their knives made in China.
