8OT changed to peach seed bone.

This is a simple change out of the handles. I removed the Delrin handles and replaced them with RV jigged bone. RV is the closest jigging I can find to the old Schrade peach seed bone.
This knife sold at the OKCA show on Friday, about an hour after I put it out. I was still setting up the rest of my table when it sold. Friday was first day of the show, and the first day is open only to OKCA members.

Dale I suspect you could sell several more of those if you had them. That is a nice looking makeover on a great knife. Who wouldn't want one ?

You wouldn't happen to have an old photo of the original so I can tell the difference between them, would you?

Now that's nice right there! I love me some peach seed bone. Matter of fact it's my wife's favorite jigging pattern too.

No, I didn't take any before pics.
It was actually 2 knives made into one. One was an 8OT, unused but with a missing bolster.
The liners and bolsters came from a nearly new 8OT that had a broken (or modified) sheepfoot blade.
I took the blades and springs from the one with the missing bolster and put it into the liners & bolsters of the other after I had installed the peach seed bone.
It was a fairly easy job as everything went perfectly, for a change!

Here's one (not the particular individual knife Dale re-did, but another; click on the image to enlarge):
Nice job, Dale!
