Here's an old Southington Cutlery kitchen knife from the Mystic show.
13 1/2" with a 8 1/2" blade.

Here is another great Connecticut brand. Landers Frary and Clark.

I love the tapered tangs.

I have some of those L.F.& C. knives with the jigged bone handles. I wish they put that on their pocket knives, beautiful stuff!
