This s a Geo. Wostenholm IXL Wharncliffe folder.
Here are the before pics:

IXL Wharncliffe before b.jpg
Notice how the blade lays close to the front liner almost but not quite rubbing.
There was quite a bit of wear on some of the pins. I thought some new pins might reposition the blade to the cnter.

I did a complete disassembly, clean & polish inside and reassembly with stag handles.

IXL stag custom Wharncliffe e.jpg
I Well, the new pins do nothing to change where the blade lay in the pocket.
It is exactly where it was before, almost but not quite touching the front liner.

I decided not to try krinking the blade since it sits exactly where it did when it left the factory. ::shrug::

Beautiful work, Dale. That stag is great. I like your blade stamp too: Adds to the history of the knife for sure and lets future collectors know it has been altered. A nice touch!

After getting that fine a knife back together, I would be very loth to try krinking the blade unless it had to be done. Of course I am a pessimist and expect bad things to happen like the blade snapping off!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the encouragement.

It would have been nice to start with new knife, but those have not been made for some time.
I left some of the scars on the knife so as not to remove all its history.

That is a super knife Dale. That knife has 3 of my favorite features...I*XL, Stag and a Wharncliffe blade.
The slabs are very nice Stag, and well balanced.
Well done my friend.
Tony.
