Nice knife.
What does the tang stamp say exactly? Northfield used the Excelsior name.

I've been wanting to get an 19th century knife for a while now & I think I finally achieved it with this Excelsior / Knife Co. EO Jack...
Let me know if I was successful... don't hold back any punches... ::undecided::

Thanks to Joe (FRJ), I've been bitten by the Connecticut knife bug & while it has taken some doing over the last few month, I'm up to three Conn. knives... but as they say... it only takes three to have the starts of a collection... :D

Greg, far from being a "big blabbermouth", you generously share your knife knowledge which helps all of us.

Greg let me hang on to it for a while longer. I've sold so much that I'm low on knives, so many good ones gone that I can't ever find again or afford.
Just needed to cut back.

I certainly don't blame you for that Harold. It's a very nice knife. I would enjoy it as long as possible! ::tu::
