Gotta Start Some Where! Old Case Auto?

Story; At a county auction (lots of everything) was a table full of old junky tool boxes of all sizes, shapes and conditions. Just happened to pick up a junky little hand carry box and noticed it had "stuff" inside. A non usable screw driver, a rag, an old rusty wrench and this here knife. Had to stick around almost all day to be the 5 buck high bidder, what did I end up with? After looking threw the many threads, and pic's, here on this forum I am leaning towards it being a 5161L????????? Can you verify this to be true or is it something else? Leave it alone or restore? Been into knives of allsorts my hole life but have nothing interesting, this place is very humbling but glad I found it! Thanks!

I know next to nothing about Case knives but I think Larry nailed it. Wow!!! Sure looks like it would be worth restoring.

Fabulous knife, maybe the best Case ever IMHO. DEFINETLY worth restoring. Congratulations.

Well here's an update, sent the Case Auto off for a resto a couple months ago and here's the finished results! To me it was just the rite amount of work done without losing the character of the Case, very happy!
Looks like I will have to bone up on my pic taking, not as easy as you guys make it look!

My first choice was Muskratman but he's taking some time off so he sent me to Tank @ TBarkknives, finished it a month a head of schedule!
