Hate the new jigging

Hey guys,
I've really tried, but I just can't make myself appreciate the new style jigging on the bone Eyes.
I've borrowed a couple of images off of eBay for comparison.
The old jigging looks beautiful on Ray's (Paladin) trapper, as opposed to the newer jigging on the congress.
I guess it just reminds me of a cheap Chinese knockoff.
Am I being too picky?

I like the old bone better too. The part that makes me think China are those match-strike pulls

It isn't as sexy to me either and looks cheap.
I think the bone jigging on the older eye knives is a notch below Case though. It seems to be less precise, more "edgy" or "rough". But, they were a working man's knife.
I don't collect anything after the 1980s, but have some users (Marbles and Benchmade). Just because I think overall quality is much lower than it was then, unless you are paying big money for a knife.

I can't stand the new jigging either. Thats the main reason I don't buy them, that and the matchstrike pulls! This new bone has to be sourced from china, it looks just like all the other china bone knives.

It's got that Rough Rider look IMO. Not a plus.
