Looks wrong/feels right

As wrong as this spear bladed Nehi legknife might look, the tang is the early UMC no "MADE IN USA", the blade seats perfectly when closed, and walks and talks like a new knife - no wobble, strong half stop loud snap in both directions. Also of interest, the figure resembling a script capital C next to the pivot. Does anyone else have or know of a spear bladed leg? Thanks!

There was an article in Knife World delineating the differences in an original and the reproductions. You can read it here: http://ibdennis.com/Nehi%200802a.pdf

Here are a couple of pictures from that article. Note all of the originals or reproductions are clip blades. Actually the handle looks right. Maybe the blade was replaced (spear blade with nail nick instead of long pull)

Blade has been replaced. Handles have a lot of wear but look right. Here's the one that I have:

Handles look correct but blade likely replaced. Note the blade pivot pin head is larger than the known originals.
