All About Pocket Knives

Started this with encouragement and good advice from Herman Williams, My second folding knife, done many fixed blades. Figured if couldn't make it right I'd sent it to him to fix.

Very nice, the stag came out great!

Thanks Mike and Glen. I'll have to do a couple more he sent me enough pins to do a few, the scales were the long edge on the palms it's not pithy just about all solid. Works and polishes great, I thought it would be a little harder to tear one down and assemble a decent looking piece. Does take alot of time, something to do when it's raining.

I have not worked with moose stag before, but that came out really nice!

Thanks Dale, it's not as hard as bone or other antler like whitetail or red deer or elk its much more forgiving on cracking like those.

Thank all for the welcome! I've worked with metal for 28 years in different professions as a welder worked with lots of stainless in commercial food equipment, and for the past 14 in wheel repair and finishing. Always enjoyed a good knife, so knife work just falls into the interest category. I just think any production knife can be made better, especially the 6OT they are pretty dull looking and ugly in the raw.
