Junker?

Scored this at the flea market last weekend for a few bucks. Pretty sure it's a low dollar junker, and I was going to try and do a mod on it, but I thought I would ask first before I pulled it into pieces. Fires great, but lock doesn't work, and front covers aren't in great shape.

I wouldn't think an Othello would be a total junker Glen ::shrug::

If it were mine I would leave it as is. The horn looks like it is in good shape and the blade doesn't look like it has seen a stone. Your knife;you can do as you like.It is definitely NOT a junker.

It's a standard modern Italian stiletto, marked (not made) for Anton Wingen in Solingen.
There is something very wrong with the front scale. I see nothing wrong with cleaning it up and rescaling it.

Just out of curiosity Bill what do you see wrong with the scale?

The hole for the button is way too big, and the pins are missing.

I agree, the hole is way big. The pins are there, but they are sunk. That front cover is the main reason I was thinking of a mod on it...

That knife is screaming at you Glenn to modify.
Plus I'm curious what you could do with it...

I've seen the previews Glen, I can't wait to see the finished product.
