Looks like someone did quite well.

Larry, I think there are bargains like that out there but it sure is a lot of work searching for them and takes a lot of time.
Somebody either by accident or design got a great deal.

Tom and Peanut, I've got lazy in my searching and when a friend call me and show me this auction, I cried

Well, what do you know? I saw this auction and thought it must be either a fake, or a case classic!

I saw that but did not bother to bid on it. The 5391 is a fake. I was pretty excited about the lot until I took a closer look.

Its different from the normal situation in that the seller had a fake but had no idea what value the fake had if it had been real. It was just another Case knife to the seller.

The tested candy stripe barlow in the same lot is a fake too.

Thanks Tim and Steve, I only look at the knives after the auction was over. Would have look harder before.
