All About Pocket Knives

I am new to this forum and this is my second post. I collected pocket knives from 1968 to 1978, when I sold my collection to buy Pre-64 Winchesters and Belgium Brownings.

I did, however, keep a few of my favorites. Below is my R1306 that I found in a thrift shop about 1975. It is complete but well used and the lock-back feature is weak. Overall, it is a good knife, but I am not sure if the bail is original. It does have the thumb serrations on the back of the blade near the tang and it has the Circle Remington logo (without UMC) and Made in USA around the outside of the circle which is stamped on the tang. The pin in the bolster is a different color than the nickel silver that the bolster is made of. It almost looks like steel.

Except for the bail, I think it is all original. Any comments would be appreciated.

The Remington circle logo on the tang is very well worn, but you can make it out with a jewelers loop. The pattern number of R1306 is very clear on the other side of the tang. I'll try to take close up photos of both sides of the tang. Gumshoe

Nice old knife, bail was added by a previous owner. Also one of my all time favorites.

The R1306 did not come from the factory with a bail, the hole was generally used for a strip of leather .

Just a quick stop by to show one of my Ol' timers. LOL
This is the Remington R1306 that still has an Etch and plenty of blade. She has not been touched/cleaned in any way by me. She is what she is and she's a pretty gal to me.
