3 recent mods

Just finished these 3 up..

This first one was a fun one. The integral liners/bolsters were all one stamped piece of metal. I filled them to make them a bit more solid. I used ebony on the covers, and reshaped the blade.

Next up is a Camillus 72 mod, simple ebony with a BSA shield.

the last one is a Camco. Complete mod...new bolsters, jigged bone, shield.

Thanks for looking.

Those look nice ::tu:: how did you / what did you use to put that finish on the Camco blade?

I like all of them but I, of course, especially like the 1047 Scout.

Glenn, you should be proud, proud, proud. Anyone should be happy to have any one of the three in their pile.

I have some scotchbrite belts that I use for that semi-glazed look. I do that sometimes when the blades aren't pristine. It cleans them up and hides some sins on thinner blades that you don't want to remove too much metal from.

All well executed and beautifully done, Glenn!
Getting the ebony to surround the integrated shield on that first one, must have been a trick. ::tu::

I`ve often wondered how to put a glazed finish on a blade that looks decent .... where can I get a belt like that you used sir ?

Great job Glenn. The owner of that Fulton jack is very pleased. He sent me some pics of it a few days ago and I was taken aback!

Just a bit of background on it, I received it in a POS round table here, and I figured it was about as good as it would ever be. But our mutual friend wanted it and I let him have it. Ya done real good! He really loves it.

Wow Glenn, fantastic work, especially the Camco. I have 5 or 6 of those Camco advertising knives and I'll never look at them the same way again after seeing your resto. That is a beautiful knife ::tu::
