All About Pocket Knives

What are some of your favorite Movies that relate to Knives? One of

my all time favorites is the "THE HUNTED" staring Tommy Lee Jones. His

character is loosely based on Tracker Tom Brown, who served as

technical consultant and had some of his knives in the movie.

Well, two that come to mind for me are...

1. Rambo. The original survival style knife carried by Rambo, made by the late Jimmy Lile.

2. Quigley Down Under. While the Sharps rifle steals the show, without that Chuck Stapel boot knife of Quigley's, the movie would've been a lot shorter.

I kinda like Arnold Schwar????, you know who i mean, Predator. With those Jack Crain fixed blades.

When I was a kid I loved that knife in the Movie Cobra,
Another Sly Stallone movie, which it had the spikes over the handle.
I had a knock off one made by Fury, which I ended up selling in a garage sale for $20!

Hows about "Marathon Man" ,The old German dude had the blade that popped out of a bracelet that he wore... I saw that the first time at the drive-in back when I was a kid...

And I do own a replica of the Push Dagger knife used in Total Recall by Sharon Stone in the movie, made by United.
There is also the Kyber Bowie from Indiana Jones, which can usually be found on E-Bay!

You Folks made me think of the dagger that came out of Bond, James Bond's brief case in "From Russsia With Love". I had that toy as a kid, Toy break down AR7 and all. It fired little red bullets, wished I had it now!

Even ole Jethro had a shoe knife when he was a Double Naught Spy

I don't know if it was ever shown, been awhile since last I viewed it. I just liked the reference to Jeremiah eating them livers. Must have had some instrument to remove them.

Yeah my favorite movie, anything with the Mountain Men and of their legends. Every time it comes on my wife just groans and then leaves. Oh well, I leave when she tunes in to Oprah

Just saw a movie named Saraphine Falls. A stag handled Bowie knife gets plenty of screen time.

Did anyone ever watch "Tool time" on tv? On some of the episodes which were shot on the tooltime set, you can see a display of toothpicks on the wall. Never could see enough of them to tell what brand they were.

I missed those!

I was constantly being distracted by those pesky assistants...

Isn't that an old movie from the late 1980s?
There was a movie made back then that had mostly Al Mar knives in it. I had an old knife magazine that had an article about the movie in it

I will have to see if I can find it and scan a pic or two.

Yes, I watched both of them. Some darn good scenes. Kill Bill and the sequel. Most of the knives were fantasies but some had a real look to them.

I found the old magazine; SWAT Fighting Knives, Vol. 1, Number 7, 1989.
The article by Dale Dye, is called Box-Office Blades.
It appears that the movie Cyborg, used most all of Al Mar's combat knives in the filming.

Here is also a shot of a much younger Charlie Sheen.
