Can you find any evidence of pins in the bolsters?

That blade is a little odd ain't it. ....

I don't know enough about Schrade to know. Can anyone tell me if Schrade used blades with matchstrike pulls? I have associated plain pulls with Schrade but again I'm pretty Schrade ignorant.

The blade is right .It should have 8OT on the other side of tang.
Made from around 1960 to 1973.
Your knife looks to be made in late 60's early 70's

The Swinden patent was granted April 4, 1961. They had to have a working prototype of the machine before the patent would be granted. So if there is no great mystery if knives from 1960 or 1959 have the Swinden system in them, they would have been using the machine to get it dialed in so they could get the on it.

Never assume that Schrade did or didn't do something, they will prove you wrong 99% of the time.

It was a gritty nail breaker to open when I got my grubby hands her.
However a little,ok a lot of Kroil and some persistent opening and closing of the blades I got her going.
The main blade lacks a big snap when closing, however the two others ( clip and Spey) close with a distinct snap. I spent some time with a tooth pick and paper towel soaking up the run off/out trying to get the grit out. I believe she will make a great addition to the EDC rotation.

I the world of clipped on wiz bangs ( I own a few ) I love to pull the stockman style out when a knife is needed in polite circumstances.
